
Role Summary
The Youth Volunteer Alliance (YVA) Volunteer Mobilizer will serve as a local youth focal point for YVA, supporting volunteer communication, mobilization, participation and basic activity coordination in the assigned area. The role is designed for active university students who can stay connected with young volunteers and help YVA maintain a visible and responsive local presence. Mobilizers will work under the YVA Volunteer Coordinator/Manager Youth and Volunteer Engagement and will be engaged according to operational need.

Up to BDT 10000-12000, subject to approved engagement arrangement and assignment and experiences

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain regular contact with assigned YVA volunteers through phone, WhatsApp, social media and face-to-face engagement.
• Support YVA Reconnect and other volunteer reactivation campaigns by contacting volunteers and updating basic information.
• Mobilize volunteers for approved YVA meetings, orientations, webinars, campaigns, community actions, training and events.
• Help volunteers understand YVA, PROTTYASHI, available opportunities and the expectations of active YVA membership.
• Support the YVA Volunteer Coordinator in identifying active volunteers, potential youth leaders and volunteers with useful skills.
• Support university outreach and YVA Campus Hub activities in assigned institutions or locations.
• Assist with event registration, attendance, volunteer briefing, coordination, feedback collection and follow-up.
• Collect volunteer stories, photos, short videos and activity updates for YVA communication and social-media use, with appropriate consent.
• Share verified information on upcoming YVA opportunities, including DRR-related opportunities when formally confirmed by PROTTYASHI.

• Maintain simple records of volunteers contacted, responses received, participation and follow-up needs.
• Submit short weekly updates to the YVA Volunteer Coordinator and immediately flag volunteer concerns, safeguarding issues or operational problems.
• Represent YVA positively and comply with PROTTYASHI's Code of Conduct, safeguarding, PSEA, data-protection and brand requirements.
Key Deliverables / Performance Expectations
• Assigned volunteer contact list followed up regularly.
• Accurate mobilization and attendance records maintained for assigned activities.
• Weekly update on volunteers contacted, confirmed, participated and requiring follow-up.
• Timely support to YVA events and university/community engagement activities.
• Volunteer feedback, concerns and opportunities communicated to the YVA Volunteer Coordinator.
• Basic photo/story/content support provided for YVA visibility where appropriate.
Required Educational Qualification and Experience
• Currently enrolled in a recognized educational institution; students with at least three years of study completed are preferred.
• Previous involvement in volunteering, university clubs, youth groups, social initiatives, or event organization is preferred.
• No full-time professional experience is required; demonstrated reliability, communication ability, and youth engagement are more important.
Required Skills and Competencies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and confidence engaging other young people.
• Good local network within universities/youth communities in the assigned area.
• Comfortable using WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, Google Forms, and basic spreadsheets.
• Ability to mobilize people responsibly without making unauthorized promises on behalf of YVA or PROTTYASHI.
• Organized, responsive, energetic, and able to follow instructions and deadlines.
• Available for occasional evening/weekend activities depending on YVA requirements.
• For Chattogram/CHT and Cox's Bazar assignments, familiarity with the local context and youth networks will be an advantage.
Working Arrangement
This is a part-time, hybrid youth engagement role designed to accommodate the Mobilizer's university studies. The Mobilizer may work remotely for volunteer communication, follow-up, digital coordination and assigned tasks, and will be required to attend the PROTTYASHI office only on a need basis for meetings, briefings, planning, documentation, report submission or other assigned responsibilities. Physical presence will also be required for approved YVA events, university/community outreach and volunteer activities as assigned. Any travel outside the normal assigned area must be approved in advance in line with PROTTYASHI procedures.
