Conducting Training of Trainers (TOT) for Farmer Leaders on Safe Crop Production and Post-Harvest Loss Management
This project was designed to empower farmer leaders with advanced knowledge, practical skills, and training techniques in the areas of safe crop production and post-harvest loss management. By building the capacity of selected farmer leaders through an intensive Training of Trainers (ToT) model, the initiative aimed to establish a sustainable, peer-led knowledge dissemination system that directly contributes to improved agricultural practices, food security, and livelihoods in rural communities.

Major Activities
Designed and conducted a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) program on safe crop production and post-harvest loss management.
Trained 270 farmer leaders (42.59% female, 57.40% male) from 135 farmer groups in Ukhiya and Kutubdia.
Integrated hands-on learning and practical demonstrations using tools such as insect boxes, pheromone traps, yellow cards, and harvesting equipment.
Developed and applied a structured, context-specific training module tailored to local agricultural needs.
Created a comprehensive farmer database and distributed training materials to support learning and knowledge retention.
Ensured training logistics and learning environment were accessible, inclusive, and well-resourced.
