Faced with the aftermath of a devastating flash fire, PROTTYASHI took timely steps to support the recovery and resilience of affected Rohingya and host community members by focusing on skill development and livelihood restoration. Major Activities
Conducted a rapid assessment to identify fire-affected and vulnerable individuals from both Rohingya and host communities.
Provided practical training in poultry rearing, slipper making, food processing, karchupi, hand stitching, and tree plantation to enhance income-generating skills.
Delivered 5-day training on business and financial management to strengthen entrepreneurial capacity.
Distributed tools, materials, and equipment based on individual business plans to support livelihood activities.
Supported beneficiaries in developing business plans aligned with their skills and resources, followed by input distribution.
Organized stakeholder meetings and a product exhibition to improve market access and promote beneficiary products.
Established Complaint and Feedback Mechanism (CFM) through complaint boxes and hotline numbers, sensitized communities on its use during training sessions.
