At 45, Nasir Ahmed, a Rohingya refugee living in Bhasan Char, has taken inspiring steps toward a better future through the Livelihood Programme supported by IOM Bangladesh and funded by Japan - The Government of Japan, implemented by 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐘𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐈. He successfully completed 30 days of Plot-Based Agriculture training along with 4 days of Life Skills training. Upon completion, he received in-kind support and was allocated Plot No. 57, giving him the opportunity to begin farming independently. Though Nasir has no formal education, his dedication to supporting his family-including his two children has always driven him forward. Before joining the programme, he earned just 1,000 BDT per month. Today, with new skills and access to farmland, his monthly income has risen to 5000 to 7,000 BDT, bringing renewed stability, dignity, and hope to his household.
